I made a mahjong score calculator app. Feel free to give it a try.
“Wait, how many points is this hand?” — I built this app for exactly that moment during a game. It shows you the yaku and score, but the standout feature is that Zundamon reads the results aloud.
How to Use #
If you have called tiles, start by entering the counts for ankan, minkan, pon, and chi. Then tap the tile images to input your hand.
Select dealer or non-dealer, your seat wind and round wind, and whether riichi or ippatsu applies.
Set how you won (tsumo, haitei, etc.) and the total number of dora (including regular dora, ura-dora, and red fives). Finally, select the winning tile.
The completed yaku and point total are displayed in a list — and Zundamon reads out the yaku names and score. Being able to hear the result without looking at the screen is surprisingly handy during a game.
A detailed fu breakdown (base fu, meld fu, pair fu, wait fu, etc.) is also available, so you can trace exactly why a hand scores what it does — useful for learning.
Voice output can be toggled on or off. The app also supports a setting for whether open tanyao is allowed.
Free to use. Hope you find it useful.
